One dress... two dress...

Okay, so I finished up two more dresses for the shop, and I promise, that's all the projects you'll be seeing for awhile... since this week coming up is (hopefully) "move into a house" week. I'll be decorating the new place, taking pictures and blogging about that soon... and can you believe it, I'm actually going to have my own SEWING room in this new place! I'm so excited, and am thinking about starting a sewing class for those that are local (meet once every two weeks). Let me know if you're interested, the class space will be limited.

So these will be up in my shop today... SOLD! Man I'm on a roll!

This one is 18 month size.

This one is 12 month size.

"Tied" up with lots of sewing projects...

I have lots of sewing projects that I've started and need to finish!  Why is it that I always start a new project, before finishing up a different one?  Sewed these up in 30 minutes!!  I've seen tutorials online, and had to try them.  I especially LOVE how the "tie" onesies turned out.  They're for a friend's new baby boy! Some adorable one of a kind onesies for an adorable one of a kind boy.

Life... downtown

Whenever you go off base, into the downtown area... there's always a surprise waiting to be seen.  Some might say it's an "unusual" place, but I LOVE it!

Even in Korea they bring flowers home to their loved ones...

There's even a view in Mr. D's sunglasses...

This is the street food vendor in Mr. D's sunglasses... isn't she precious?

And check out these fried "yummies" she's cooking up...

I think we're totally BLESSED to be in this country...

What a Hooot...

Found some really fun owl fabric the other day at my "Happy Place" and had to do something with it. So, I made some new journals for my shop. You can see individual pictures of each, in my shop...

Natalie's Picture Spring Photo Challenge

Hello all, I have been a huge fan of Natalie's blog for a long time now... the dedicated reader that I am was ELATED when she posted about her Picture Spring Photo Challenge.  Of course, for the last few days I've been thinking about which photos to "enter" into this contest...and the hard part, I'm limited to only 3 photos.  So I picked these:

"Swing Swing Swing"- I wish that tire swing could hold my weight!

You can enter this contest yourself by going to this post.

Another check on the Adoption "To-Do" List...

Today the Mr. and I headed to the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, to turn in/file our I-600A.  It takes awhile to process, but they said they would get started on it right away.  Almost all of the major paperwork is finished, and now the hard part happens- the WAITING.

U.S. Embassy in Seoul.

We had fun seeing some lanterns on our walk over to the Embassy.

Such fun colors all around us.

Sincerest Apologies...

My sincerest apologies... I promised a week of photos of China, and I have been slacking.  I had two more posts full of life in China and the Tourist Trap photos for you, and I have been way behind on photo editing, and posting these photos... and it's all this house's fault.

You see, we're living on base here in Korea in a 2 bedroom apartment.  Most people know I'm a complacent person, and honestly, the apartment would have been perfect if it was just the hubby and I.  However, in a few months, we'll be adding to this family (Lord willingly if all goes well with the adoption)... and we still have another 2.5 years left here in Korea.  Needless to say, I ventured off base the other day, to meet with a friend, and she shared with me that this house is open and ready to be moved in.  I was sold on the idea... had to convince the Mr.... and after meeting with a realtor, negotiating a price with the landlord, it's been declared as "ours"!!  It still needs to pass inspection before we can start scheduling movers... but right now, it looks like we're going to be living in a house soon!  The homes in this area are painted these RIDICULOUS colors, but I love how bright and cheery they are.  Sort of remind me of Florida in some weird way.  I will only share pictures of the outside, for now... but in a few weeks, I'll take you through each room and post about them.  For now, I will leave you with a couple other "outside" shots...

Mini notebooks

Just have been working on some little mini notebooks.  They're reusable, so as soon as you're done using the pages for your "to-do" lists, you can reuse the covers, and slip in another 3x5 notebook! They're being sold in my shop as a set!  Let me know if there's any interest in just purchasing one at a time, and I will see what I can do.

Bedazzled China...

Every place that we visited in China, there was something "eye catching". The colors popped... I've never seen a country that loved the color "red" so much. All of the temples were painted beautifully and always with bold colors. They LOVE dragons... and they were everywhere. So I'm dedicating a post to the embellishments that grabbed my attention... enjoy them as much as I did.

I even spotted my favorite color green a bunch of times.

And take a look at these rooftops! Beautiful, isn't it? I'd love to steal get my hands on some of those green (my favorite green!) tiles.
