I already wrote a post (around my blogiversary... which was back in October) about how MUCH has happened in a year of writing my blog... so I won't go into details too much about Korea and our experiences thus far (because you pretty much get those on a weekly basis)... but I will tell you this... I find this place to be magical... It awakened the creativity in me (more than any place ever has...) and it continues to be this place that never loses our interest. It keeps us interested in it... It's a place that throws you loops ALL the time, and leaves you wondering, "What just happened?"... but your answer is always, "It's just Korea"...
Yes, it's become our home, and it'll be our home for the next 2 years. Lord willingly, in this next year, we'll bring a child(ren) from Ukraine (yes...I finally said the country where we're adopting from!!) home to this magical country. I pray that they will see it the same way that the hubby and I see it. I'm pretty sure Korea is going to welcome that lil' one(s) and love on 'em the same way that it has loved on us. I'm sure once that time comes (and I pray it is soon!!!) that these blog posts are going to change DRASTICALLY... just like our lives...but we're so excited!
I'm really anxious to blog about our next year here in Korea, and I thank YOU for continuing to read... so at this time... I'd like to ask you a question: Is there ANYTHING that you would like to see posted on this blog? More tutorials? More pictures of my adorable kitty? Stories of how I overcame "Mustache March"? Highlights of my favorite etsy shops? Photography tips? ... The sky is the limit... feel free to ask any question, and I will dedicate a post in the upcoming week(s) with answers to those questions.

Just found your blog and after looking around I’m wondering if there is anything you don’t do? I keep waiting to discover that not only are you a certified sky diver but also an acclaimed fashion accessory designer for a high profile New York design firm.
ReplyDeleteI'm always up for tutorials and photography tips! And I love reading about other people's adventures. Good luck with your adoption! I bet that's a trying and exciting process!
ReplyDeleteI love the posts on the uniqueness of Korea- maybe some quirks that you've discovered over this past year!?!? :) And, of course, I love the ones that give insight into your everyday lives because I want to see it in person one day sooooon!!
ReplyDeleteLots of sewing tutorials...like how to making christmas stockings, napkins, or even curtains...all of which I will be needing in our new house in Misawa plus I will have a sewing machine then too!
ReplyDeleteMaybe a tutorial on how you became so cool! The uniqueness and awesomeness that is Karen, is hard to find, but I am hoping to replicate someday!! :) On a serious note... I want more photo tips... I have a friend back home that offers a workshops on photography... She is a self taught girl who has a small business with her hubby and she gets a group togeher each month and she gives tips, pointers, and advice on how to take better pictures... She charges for each session and she has "models" come and then the group photograghs away... Just a thought!! Kim stafford
