Basil+Pine nuts+ a little extras=goodness

Fresh basil is hard to come by here in Korea... so as soon as a friend shared the inside scoop (that our base grocery store was carrying some plants), I managed to purchase 3 of them! We'll see how long they live... if you've been following my blog for awhile, you'll know that I have a black thumb. However, in the meantime, I did manage to pluck off almost all of the plants' leaves, and created some fresh and yummy pesto sauce. All you need for some homemade pesto, is either basil (or you can use arugula for another taste), pine nuts (some people use almonds), fresh pressed garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper. It's that easy... especially if I can make it. Oh, and you can't forget the parmessan cheese... that's the best part!
