Yesterday was the day... 31 March, 2011... the day that all of our adoption paperwork was registered with Ukraine. We should hear back from them within the next 2 weeks for a time to travel to Ukraine and bring home some dear little one(s). I've been having so much putting together some inexpensive/fun details in the soon-to-be little one(s) room... and here's what I have so far.
Lots of pinwheels (fabric and paper) everywhere...

Owls are absolutely precious (and gender neutral- in case we bring home boys, even though we've been praying/hoping for girls!)... this little guy (below) is one of Oh Sweet Joy's DIY packets.

To celebrate our dossier registration date (the date that all of our adoption paperwork is "registered" in Ukraine) I'm giving away a sweet little find from the cutest Korean art deco store. Can you believe I found little Matroyshka (Nesting Dolls) on stationary? Well, today, I'd like to gift 3 individuals with this fun "snail mail writing" paper, and there's also a surprise (not pictured), included in each giveaway :)
Here's how to enter:
- Follow my blog on GFC (Google Friends Connect)... located on the right hand side of my blog,
leave a comment, telling me that you do.
- Follow me on twitter and leave a separate comment telling me you do.
- Tweet about this giveaway (and leave a separate comment), maybe say something like this:
" Come celebrate @kdaviscreates ' adoption paperwork being registered with a #giveaway: http://bit.ly/e87gB4 "
- "Like" Karen Davis Photography on facebook, and leave a separate comment telling me you do.
- Blog about this giveaway or facebook about this giveaway... and let me know in a separate comment that you did.
- Tell me one "tip" about being a soon-to-be Mom... oh, and for those that aren't parents yet, tell me if you'd like to have kids one day.
That's 6 different ways that you can enter, and 3 winners will be drawn on Monday, 4 April.
Let the fun..... BEGIN!
So cute K Davis! I wrote about it on FB.

ReplyDeleteLove all of the adorable things you are putting in your kiddo(s)' room! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to had kids some day! Can't wait until the Lord allows us to have children. I often have to remind myself that it's all in His timing.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you! Praise God it's all coming together! :)
ReplyDeleteYESSSSS!!!! So excited to see this process continue! I already "liked" your photography on Facebook, so that's one entry:).
ReplyDeleteAnd, I think I want kids one day, but probably not biological. I could see myself adopting or having foster kids.
Love you!
I already follow you! Thanks for doing a giveaway!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all the stages with your child(ren). They all have their ups and downs and you'll miss them when they're older. I wish I'd enjoyed the newborn stage more, but I was so sleep deprived I remember wishing she was older and sleeping through the night and now I miss when she wanted to be on me 24/7.
ReplyDeletegood luck on this exciting time in your lives! my advice is to make sure you enjoy every minute - i know you won't have a problem with that. my little guy will be turning 1 in less than a week, & i have no idea where the time went. too many times i was too hard or critical of myself. we are our own worst critics, & i wish i'd have stopped over-analyzing everything & just lived in the moment. housework always takes a backseat to playing with a little who's getting less little by the minute. congratulations, & good luck!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a giveaway!! and a perfect way to celebrate such a special date :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!!

ReplyDeleteTip:
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every single moment. Time goes by way to fast and children grow up even faster!! Motherhood is full of ups and downs, and sometimes you will get frustrated and want to cry, go ahead and cry it's ok and there is nothing wrong with wanting me time!! :)
Don't let anyone tell you different about your child, you know him/her best, and always follow your gut instinct :)
If you ever have any questions don't hesitate :)

ReplyDeleteI do want to be a mother someday but all in the Lord's timing. In the meantime, I love spending time with my nieces/nephew. And the kids at my church. I've watched them grow up and that time is so special to me!
ReplyDeleteNew follower here and so happy I found your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteI am a proud Mom to my 2E's! They are now 12 and 13 :( CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteMy advice is to take lots of photos.. all kinds of photos. My kids(and their friends) may call the Mamarazzi but they always like looking at what I snapped and I love being able to look back at all the wonderful memories while they have been growing up.
