Proving Mama Wrong...

So I, the crafting, artsy fartsy Mama... was OVERJOYED yesterday. Our very first attempt at coloring with Charlotte (a few days/weeks ago) was a complete and utter failure. We brought a coloring book with crayons, and she wanted NOTHING to do with it, other than flip the pages...and then started to "rip" the pages for fun. Needless to say, I was disheartened, thinking that Charlie would NEVER like to create on her own...

Yesterday, Charlie proved me wrong. I decided to try again... except this time, I brought plain white paper and some markers. As soon as I took the cap off the marker, she grabbed it right out of my hand, and started to draw all over the paper. I tried passing other colors to her, but she was a "one color" girl... wanting to draw only with the pink marker. This went on for about 10-15 minutes... she was so proud to hand over her creations to her nannies. At first, I was a little sad that some of her first "creations" would be given away to them... but, I know that she'll create plenty MORE in her future.
