We started off in the stroller... did a little strolling... She would point to things, and I would tell her what everything was... oh, all the sights she saw... I kept thinking to myself, "Little girl... you are seeing the world... and God totally created all of this for you to enjoy..."

She even got out and stretched her legs a little, and chased a little Korean boy on his bike... and hugged an ajima (older Korean lady)... who kept calling her cute (totally wish I documented that).

On the way back, we passed the rice paddy fields... and that's when I had this brilliant idea....

I decided to show Charlie how a rice paddy looks up close, so I brought her over to the edge in my arms, when all of a sudden... I started sinking straight into dirty watered soil... like quick sand. I immediately "chucked" her onto solid ground, threw my camera at her... and then proceeded to "dig" myself out, nearly losing a flip flop along the way. The whole time, Charlotte was complaining that she got dirty... when clearly, I was the one who was FILTHY! Seriously... I have a fashionista on my hands, and all she did, was check out her outfit, to make sure that she didn't have any mud all over it. She's seriously lucky I threw her to solid ground, before my camera... now that was thinking like a "Mama" and not like a "Photographer"...

I really wanted some pictures of her with the beautiful lush green background of the rice paddy fields... and I didn't let some mud stop me. I brushed off my hands on my shorts (I mean really, nothing a washing machine couldn't fix... I do a load a day anyways now), directed Charlotte to stand like a "pretty girl" and snapped away. I managed to take a few photos, and then we trudged a half mile back to the house... what a walk!

Beautiful post, Karen! I'm glad that Baby & Mama & Camera all got through it OK! =)
