Subway hopping went well, and we made it to the Coex Mall just in time for lunch. Can you believe... in a place where hundreds/thousands of Koreans were hanging out, shopping, eating... it was a Russian couple that came and sat RIGHT next to us, and started speaking Russian ( go figure! ) It was crazy deja-vu to hear Russian... we weren't ready for that, that's for sure.
How do I even go about describing our time in the aquarium? I'll start by saying, it's a beautifully, well laid out aquarium... but in the end, was Charlotte even interested in the fish? ... NO... in fact her attention was so short, that we honestly thought we'd get through the entire aquarium in about 5 minutes. The girl just kept moving, from one tank to another... but then I noticed... she wasn't checking out the fish... she was totally checking out the Koreans who enjoyed looking at the fish. Our girl is such a social butterfly... it was hard to keep her away from saying "hi" to EVERYONE in the aquarium. There were times where we had to apologize for a "pat on the butt" that Charlie would give them... or apologize when Charlotte would try and take a "sip" out of their straw from their soft drink. But again, that is who she is... and we wouldn't have it any other way... that's just our Charlotte.

And the best photo of the day goes to: The photo below of Charlie and I in the shark's mouth... Can we please laugh and laugh at this. Although I love how Papa focused on the shark's teeth and made us blurry (great photo technique...) I would give a million bucks to have a photo of the reverse... Charlie and I in focus (she was BALLING her eyes out... like she really was being eaten by a shark)! yup... that's just our Charlotte.

Hahaha! Excellent post, like usual, Karen! We went to Coex recently, too, and loved it. Elisha LOVED the Koi pond.... couldn't keep his hands out of it. I love how Charlie is such a social butterfly! Korea is a good place for that, though! Being so safe and one-big-family like and all!
ReplyDeleteahhh your little charlotte is sooo adorable!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the title on this post! So funny how she didn't want to look at the fish. I'm sure my kids would take FOREVER looking at the fish! I'm glad that your family is growing and enjoying themselves!
ReplyDeleteIm so glad that your family day went well!! I LOVE that Korean man at the bus stop. When we were traveling every week to our other church he would sit and talk with us. love him!
ReplyDeleteOOOOOhhhh . . . we forgot to tell you that there is a "meltdown" when the "fun meter" is pegged on family day. Toughest part of Family Day is knowing when the little ones have had enough, & moving quickly to an eating place to "sugar up" and prevent a rather ugly display of temper.
ReplyDeleteFood shops/candy work ---- every time.
hahahahaha Love the last photo! Your family is adorable! I love that Charlie is a social butterfly. What a fun day! :)
