"See ya laters" are always so bitter and difficult... and I'm not quite sure if Charlie understands it or not, but we had to say farewell to Aunt Courtney today. We've had a great 2.5 weeks, and we are truly going to miss her. Charlie has already started her broken record (when she says things OVER and OVER!)... and all I hear is, "Antnee-nee"... Sad thing is, is that Papa left early this morning too... so our house is super empty. Papa is in Alabama for a last minute (he found out 3 days ago) 5.5 week long school. So in a few days Charlotte and I will actually be heading to the states for some family time (we'll stay 3 weeks) and we'll finish up her citizenship paperwork, and hopefully get her a social security number and US Passport.
Sidenote: Are any of my blogging friends from the Montgomery, Alabama area and want to meet up? I'd LOVE to meet you and go out for a coffee...
Ok, OK . . . that's enough of THAT. Cathy and I are both sitting here crying. Those pictures of Charlie saying goodbye, watching the bus leave, standing there so dejected-looking. Karen!!!!! We want to hug that girl and tell her so many more good things are coming -- don't be sad, our sweet Charlie. The sun will come out tomorrow!!!!
one of the first photos it looks like Charlie is trying to stop the suitcase with her foot...like she's saying "no, Auntie don't leave me!" Praying for safe travels and all the paperwork to get done!
