Before more days slip away from me... I did want to share our time at our Air Show that our Air Base here in Korea put on a few weeks ago. It was a glorious day in late October (seriously, I think I got a little sunburned even with lotion on my face)... and the show that the jets put on was awesome... and who can forget the yummy food I had- there's nothing like a corn dog!

Our little fashionista had to have the proper attire for an Air Show... so 2 days before, I found a flight suit for her downtown, and had her own patch made, with her call sign, "Smack Jr." As soon as she put her suit on, I kid you not, our little one said, "Hi... my name is Da Da!" and smiled HUGE. It was a hit... and she sure was a hit in it at the Show... just about everyone was photographing her... and she ate it all up.

Apparently she's a sucker for a man in a uniform... wait... strike that and reverse it... they're definitely suckers for a little one in uniform (the pigtails totally help).

Charlotte's Da Da usually flies on the E3... better known as the AWACS... and we were so lucky as to have it on "display" at the Air Show. Of course I had to take tons of pictures of my sweet girl in front of it.

She was pretty excited about receiving a patch from the E3 team that was out visiting from Japan...

I love that little flight suit! And she's getting so big!
ReplyDeletethese pictures are amazing - and i loooove the last photo of you two together. her suit is too cute! air shows are some of my fave things in the whole world. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Karen, I loved the air shows at Osan! And that picture of Precious Charlotte with those sailors is priceless. Oh, and I loved the picture of the Koreans taking pictures - it totally captured the essence of Osan! Thank you for your great blog!
ReplyDeleteOops - that last comment was from the Jenny half of the Renners; not the Stephen half!
ReplyDeleteI love these! She is getting soo big! And I love her flight suit!! Can i ask what lens you used?
ReplyDeleteOmgoodness, Karen ~ those are awesome!!! I'm torn between the one of just her looking off, the one with her and all the guys and the one you two (where you're throwing her into the air) as my favorite from the bunch... guess I have three favorites... *hugs* thanks for sharing. ~ CB
ReplyDeleteI have so many great memories of going to air shows with my family growing up. I miss living near a base...life feels so quiet without jet noise! Great photos, Karen! and that jump suite is so precious!
ReplyDeleteWe have to talk . . . seriously! Who decided that our grandchild should be allowed in such close proximity to those ocean boat drivers? There are STANDARDS in this family. We need exposure to more socially acceptable, and properly flightsuited gentlemen!
ReplyDeleteKaren, these are THE BEST!!!! All in the office have RAVED at what you have done. These pictures are literally priceless. Looooooove the Air Show shots, and Charlotte really IS A ROCK STAR.
Charlotte is so stinking cute!!
ReplyDeleteKaren, your photos are always fantastic. I'm excited to see more of what you did with your fall photo shoot...but these I found quite exciting. So much so that I was compelled to leave Google Reader to come comment. Keep up the good work!
