Happy 6 Months Charlie Horse

Dear Charlotte... little Charlie Horse...

Yup, that's right, you've been named a new nickname... "Charlie Horse"... and it fits so appropriately. In this last month, you have pushed our boundaries... you understand the meaning and correct use of the word, "No..." (used it a number of occasions)...and you NEVER leave our side (while we're at home... out and about you could care less whose side your by). We knew it was inevitable... and at the same time, we're sort of happy that you're going through this phase a little bit, because it means you feel comfortable enough with us... you can be that little "Charlie horse" in our sides at times, but we're okay with it... because we love having you at our sides... Runyan on the other hand... he just thinks you're naughty for always wanting to pull his tail. But, I think he'd rather you pull it, than some random kid...

This month we've hit 6 months... that's a whole half of a year... and it certainly feels like it's flown by, now. Lets pray the next 6 months go just as quickly, because this is the last month we'll be celebrating your "monthly Gotcha Day" as a whole family... the next time we celebrate, it'll be with Dada in Vegas, for your 1 year Gotcha Day, after he graduates from his schooling (as long as he graduates!) Mama knows he's going to miss out for 6 months while he's gone, and we're still trying to figure out how to explain to you that he isn't going to be around for awhile... but for now, we're going to take 1 month at a time, and enjoy these last few weeks with him around. You two have formed a sweet little playful bond, and even when he's only been gone to work for a few hours, you run around the house saying, "Where Dada?" Mama fears you're going to be doing A LOT of that over the next few months. And oh the joy on your face every time he walks in... it's a sight Mama won't see for awhile, and it breaks my heart.

This month, you've learned how to jump (without holding on to something or falling)... you've managed to execute a perfectly formed somersault, and your climbing skills have reached new heights (you have no fear of heights)... You are potty trained (almost... except at night) with minimal accidents, and you just adore wearing big girl "unders" (that's what you call underwear)... You want spaghetti for dinner EVERY night... and bananas are still your very favorite snack. You sing ALL the time, and play guitar ALL the time... and when you're not, you're looking at yourself in the mirror, and "pose"... we think you're going to be a performer one day! But for now, we love when you sing us to sleep...

We love you little Charlie horse,
Dada and Mama

  7. The baby is so cute as well as the kitty. Good thing the cat is behaving well and does not hurt the baby at all. Good kitty, keep it up!
