This is how my weekend looked...

and then it turned into a nasty stomach bug... but that aside. I needed to get the little one out of the house, and she starts school on Tuesday (2 days a week!), so I wanted to do something special for Charlotte. Something to get her excited about school, even though, I'm pretty sure she didn't need anything to excite her. Since she's been a big girl (going potty with no accidents for almost 2 months now), and is settling in well (ready for interaction with other children), I figured (with a nudge from a friend) that it was time for Charlie to start Preschool... it's only 2 days a week, but for now, that's perfect for her... and so I figured since she's such a big girl, it's time to let her do something "big girl" ish... paint her fingernails!
So, I sucked up this "not feeling well" face, and took her to the Skin Food Store. I told Charlotte we were going to paint her fingernails, and she looked at me, like I was crazy. I asked her if she wanted some "Oh La La" on her nails, and she immediately said, "Yeahhhhhhhhh!".... so these are the colors my little one picked out.

I then showed her what we were going to do, and she squealed with delight.

which color did she pick? why yes... for tomorrow's first day of school, this little one went BOLD and PINK...
and she ADORED them... watching this little girl's smile and "ohhh look at dat... look at my petty (pretty) fingers." is the BEST medicine any Mama could ask for.
I was about to ask if you're ready for tomorrow!! Max has bright purple on her nails. Her dress fits wonky, so she may or may not wear it, but just in case, I whipped out a circle skirt this evening. Gotta wear SOMETHING new!
