on PURPOSE.

Remember how I was supposed to finish this wired frame over the weekend... well, 3 weeks later, I FINALLY managed to get around to it. I plan on changing it out every season, with updated pictures, and fun sayings that relate to how I'm feeling right now... but for now, this is what I came up with. I LOVE seeing pictures of my sweet family, all together...

...especially these photos with the hubby in them. He's doing well in his schooling right now... really tough, but enjoying it as much as he can. I felt like this quote is perfect for encouragement to him, and also to Charlotte and I as we're separated from him. It's hard to find joy each and everyday when your other half isn't near... it's hard to cook for only 1.5 persons... it's hard to want to go out and see Korea without having my partner in crime with me (who enjoys the SAME things that I do)... it's hard to parent for two (although, I totally don't mind giving the little one extra kisses)... it's hard... but, I have to LIVE my life on PURPOSE. And that purpose is all for God's glory. So it's okay that joy is a battle to achieve at times, that I sometimes pop in a microwave dinner, that going out in Korea means visiting the new playground nearby, or that I have to do all the disciplining around here... I'm doing it ALL for Him.

a new week... means new flowers to enjoy...

Linking up with Lindsay over here.

  6. Yesterday was Aunt Cindy's day. The funeral, the memorial, the family gathering . . . Karen, it was all just right, or it WOULD have all been just right if we would have been able to hug you, too. We needed Charlie there to have her grab a glimpse of her "family" . . . we needed Jason to stand next to Noah, Levi, Dustin, and the girls. We KNOW you couldn't . . . we UNDERSTAND why you couldn't. Just need you to know our family is not complete without your touch on our lives. We love how you are holding things together and living intentionally, no matter what. You are an incredible mom and wife. So, SOOOO thankful to God you and Charlie are part of the Davis clan. Our prayers for your peace, and for your safety, and for your well being are lifted heaven-ward daily. Blessings to you . . . and thanks for continued efforts to keep all of us "up" on how you are doing. It's so very much appreciated.

  8. I love this! I bought some mini clothespins to do something like this or perhaps just string running on a wall.

  9. Linked in from AtoA and loving your pics. We just planted our family garden this weekend and that framed chicken wire is making me think of the coop we are going to build. Love it! I'm channeling my inner-farm girl these days and thinking that would be a great life-season project! Thanks for the idea! Pinning it! xo
