Pretty sure my child had the worst "bed head" hair that day... and I'm totally okay with it... it's SO her... no static, no posing no purpose, just pure BED HEAD...
and she doesn't mind looking like a cockatoo... but, question for you... if you could do something with her hair...what would you do? Would you keep the bangs? Would you grow them out? Would you keep her hair short or long? I'm SO lost on how to style the girl's hair...and as much as she is my little fashionista, she gives me NO input on how to do her hair, unless it's in a ponytail or pigtails.... what to do? what to do?
She is soo adorable!! As far as the hair goes, I would grow it out. There is a lot you can do with long hair. My 4 year old has some seriously long hair and she looooves when I braid it. right now, I think Charlotte would look cute with some pig tails. :) Maybe you could pin her bangs back?
ReplyDeleteI'd need picture of her without bangs/bangs pinned back to weigh in on that part of your debate but she's seriously cute so I can't imagine that anyway you do her hair would look bad. I think long hair is great as long as tangles are not too great an issue. If they are then save both of you a lot of headaches and whining and keep it shorter. In all fairness, though, she is so cute you really can't go wrong :)
ReplyDeleteIf true that, "the eyes are the window to the soul," then the hair style gets lost in the smile on Charlie's face, the peace we "see" in her activity and interaction with the world, and her wonderful spirit. All those things were buried . . . until you brought them out. Any hair style will do, because the soul was freed from the orphanage and her moma and papa's love have transformed this little person. So fun to watch . . . by the way, the scarf makes the outfit, love that she likes it so much!
ReplyDeleteKaren, I swear, you and J were blessed with one beautiful little lady! She just looks like she is full of sass <3
ReplyDeleteI think you should grow it out, too. But, I'd have it cut short across the back and have it tapered so it's longer in the front. Ask for an inverted bob! It's darling. That way you can grow out the layers and keep getting it trimmed until it's the same length all over. Easy to take care of the back and you can still pull the longer part up in a pony. She really is getting more beautiful each day! A natural in front of the camera!
ReplyDeleteThis little girl has the hair cut I was thinking of.

Keep the bangs, and let it grow long! She is beautiful. Every time I see a picture of her I just want to give her a big ol' hug.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like Kate's hair long we keep it short because it gets so tangled when it's long. And she fusses so much when we comb it. Hopefully Charlotte's hair is easier to manage!
ReplyDeleteI think she looks so cute with her "getting-longer" hair. And I agree with the first comment - there is so much you can do with long hair. :)
