Most blog readers, or readers in general, know of Ann Voskamp... and if you don't... it's time you do! She's the author of the book, One Thousand Gifts... and has an amazing blog, A Holy Experience. She has been a daily/weekly read of mine... ever since I finished her book. She is SUPER uplifting, and I SO enjoy her dare... a dare to live fully. Well, her "Joy Dare" for yesterday (our today) was to find 3 gifts "blooming or budding"... I love how they always set us up to find joy in the simplest/littlest things.
While taking a walk with my little one, we found more than 3 gifts that were blooming or budding... literally...

and figuratively... This afternoon Charlotte's been complaining about growing pains and that her muscles ache... while rubbing her left calf ALL late afternoon and evening long... she certainly is blooming (not just because of her adorable flower shoes)... sometimes I wish she would slow down just a little... but I know her body has tons of playing "catch up" to do... so I'll let it do what it needs to do. And find joy in the fact her body is able to do, exactly what it's been wanting to do (3.5 years in an orphanage with malnourishment, can sure put a toll on a body).
I so love your little blossom :)
ReplyDeleteAw, she is super cute and I love your photos, as always! xxx

ReplyDeletePraising God with you, for catching up and totally agree with Alyssa ~ cute coat. ~CB :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible mom you are. To be so conscious of every need, every cirucumstance and to be such a good advocate for Charlie. We are blessed to just know you, and we thank God for the day he brought you into our family.
ReplyDeleteHug Charlie for us . . . tell her there are lots of fun things to do in Harrisburg and we are just waiting for our change to EXPLORE with her, some of the great things to see/do/smell/eat here.
Completely beautiful photos! You have a lovely blog.
