I have good intentions on having Dada build her a "stage" when he comes home, but for now... I take her to this little shady relaxation area down the street, and let her "get it all out"....especially the click clacking with her blackshoes, that she believes are tap dancing shoes.

Always finishes with a little "finale"... always.

Does she have fun with yes? yes. Does she sometimes use her entertaining for attention? yes. My charge to her lately is to remind her (each and every performance, which is literally every minute of the day), that whatever we DO, we do unto the Lord.
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." - Colosssians 3:23-24
There's a wonderful song by Matt Redman, that we play frequently in the house... "Here for You" (yes, she dances around the house, and sings loudly whenever we play this song too!) and it's always such an encouragement to listen to.
"Let our praise be Your welcome
Let our songs be a sign
We are here for You, we are here for You
Let Your breath come from heaven
Fill our hearts with Your life
We are here for You, we are here for You
To You our hearts are open
Nothing here is hidden
You are our one desire
You alone are holy
Only You are worthy
God, let Your fire fall down
Let our shout be Your anthem
Your renown fill the skies
We are here for You, we are here for You
Let Your Word move in power
Let what's dead come to life
We are here for You, we are here for You
To You our hearts are open
Nothing here is hidden
You are our one desire
You alone are holy
Only You are worthy
God, let Your fire fall down
[x2]
We welcome You with praise
We welcome You with praise
Almighty God of love
Be welcomed in this place
[x2]
Let every heart adore
Let every soul awake
Almighty God of love
Be welcomed in this place
We welcome You with praise
We welcome You with praise
Almighty God of love
Be welcomed in this place."

ReplyDeleteOh Karen! She sure is a ham and a half <3 I love seeing all the pictures of Charlotte and how much she's opened up since her "Gatcha Day" <3
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, could she be any cuter?! Work it Charlotte! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun she is! Was just reading back through some of your old posts from when you met Charlotte... I bet if "future you" had shown "past you" this post, "past you" wouldn't have believed it was the same girl! What a blessing you and Jason have been in her life, and her in yours. Praise the Lord!
ReplyDeleteSuch adorable dancing photos!
