There are so many things that I miss living overseas (birthdays, weddings, holidays, etc.) and I'm fairly certain I've shared that on a post before... it's what makes being a military spouse, super tough... but something I knew I signed up for, the day I said, "I do..."
Being home though, I've been able to enjoy some things that I would normally have missed out on (including my big 30th birthday!) and today I witnessed my little brother getting his "learner's permit"... such a great feeling being around for this.

and as luck would have it... just a few steps away from the driving center, just happens to be the BEST custard/Italian water ice... Rita's. It was a SUPER way to celebrate!

By the way, the mango misto with vanilla custard... is FANTASTIC.
I'm pretty sure this past two weeks or so have seen Charlie smile even more than ususal. Rita's is only ONE of the reasons!!!
