"Cooling" off...

The sun came out, so we headed straight to the water park, "Splish 'N Splash" to enjoy some "cooling" off time in this heat...

After splashing around for awhile, Charlotte began to "stare" at the big water park playground- the big rope climb, and the big green slides... she saw all the other kids having fun with it...

seconds later... down the big green slide she went... and then she did it over and over and over again, for at least (what felt like) 80 times. No fear...

and after showing her that it was like a ginormous bath tub, she decided it was okay to immerse herself into the water... and then she decided that it was okay to learn how to "swim"... this is a huge deal friends... HUGE. She has had a "fear" of being immersed in the water, and usually always needs to be held in it... but for some reason, yesterday, it was okay. I think it's because she saw the other little kids doing it, and that it was like a little "rivalry" going on.

We have so many days of pool/water park life ahead of us... who knows what's to come with our little one and her swimming adventure this year!

  2. Love this last photo especially... if you contrast this with some of those first Ukrainian pics it's amazing... almost doesn't look like the same little girl. So happy for all that God has done in and through your family *hugs*

  4. What a story you have made. Pictures only sharing what is visible. The spirit of this little one, the "fight" she has in her, the determination that is starting to show . . . . coupled with the opportunity you have given (from your heart) to live and be all that God intended for her to be! These pictures, and more importantly, the stories that go behind them, are beyond amazing, or "stirring." You are creating a life where one did not exist. I am so proud (thankful) for what you have done, and are doing. This is so much more than just serving our country, as good as that is. You are living life the way it is intended. Blessings, blessings, and more blessings you are to us. Can't wait to have you all closer to us, geographically.
