Jam Packed Day

On Charlotte's birthday (in the evening) we had visitors coming into town... dear friends of ours from Germany were stopping by for a couple of days with us (the end of their Asia tour)... so that's another reason why you haven't heard much from me on this end. We had such a great time with them, reminiscing of our time spent in Germany... all the things we miss... it gave us a little "fill" for Europe... wish our time was longer... but we made the most of what we were given. Our first full day together, we made our way to Hwaseong Fortress, in the nearby city of Suwon. I'm fairly certain I've blogged of it before, but it's such a wonderful hike/stroll... there's no way we could have let them leave without seeing it.

In one of the little "pit stops" along the way...

We pointed out to Charlotte, that there were feet sticking up into the ledge...

with a little coaxing, the little one tickled... SO wish I had documented the man's face.

I think one of the greatest things about their time with us, was all the fun foods they were "up" for "trying"...

We ended our hike/stroll with a view over the modern day city of Suwon...

and then made our way "downtown" to share our little town of Songtan with them...

we sipped on some coffee...

and then snacked on some street food...

later they experienced Dr. Fish (fish nibbling on dead skin on your feet)... a little shopping... and ended the night with a delicious Galbi dinner. It was a full, but FUN day... not so much time with friends, results in jam packing tons of fun in one day.
