Coffee Galore

Day 5 on the road:

Today, even though it was day 2 in Seattle, was our first FULL day there. So much fun was had in the downtown area. Not sure what I enjoyed most- the coffee where I received free re-fills, Pike's Place Market, the crazy people watching, or just being by the waterfront.

Ivars is an amazing place to check out, if you like clam chowder, or all things seafood...we had so much fun eating "with" the seagulls... they are SO well fed, that I'm not surprised Seattle is their home.

Hello Seattle...

Day 4 on the road:

We made our way back to Las Vegas, and then flew to Seattle today. We made it in, just in time to capture the city at night for just a few minutes, before Charlotte fell asleep in Daddy's arms. We have all day tomorrow, so we'll be going around the city like little tourists taking it all in... but what I know I'm going to take in the most, is the COFFEE! Helllllo Seattle!

Taste of Utah

Day 3 on the road: Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park

We made it into Utah on day 3, and were sort of sad that we didn't have as much time as we would have liked there. It was beautiful, to say the least, and again, we just took in as much as we could in the limited time that we had. At Bryce that rocks/canyons were this amazing bright burnt orange color, and the formations were unreal. There was a lot more vegetation at this canyon, so it was nice to see all the trees and what not surrounding the area. The green, was very much welcomed, after not seeing it for awhile.

After a few hours at Bryce Canyon, we made our way to Zion National Park... where we were SWEPT away by it's beauty. We barely had any time to do any trails there, but we took in all that we could take in, played in one of the creeks (it felt GREAT resting our feet in the cold water), and made a mental note to return to Zion, on another family vacation. I think what we loved most about it, was that the water was so accessible, and that instead of checking out the canyon/mountains from up top, we drove through them. We WILL be back, there's no doubt about that.

Charlotte's favorite part of the trip thus far, was "jumping" into the water, off the rocks with our help.

** I don't naturally style my hair, so that a wisp of it is always sticking up in the air... that is ALL courtesy of the natural breezes along the top of the canyon.

Feeling Grand

Day 2 on the road:

We made it to Grand Canyon National Park... and boy was it GRAND. Just sticking my head over the side for the first time, I was in complete "awe" of how beautiful it is there. It measures just slightly larger than the state of Delaware, and can be seen from space (don't you just love interesting facts that they share with you?) I'm fairly certain that if we had more time there, we would have taken the donkeys down the side to see the bottom... but alas, time wasn't on our side, and since we had places to continue on to, we only had the 1 day there. We did try and catch as much as we could in the short period of time, and managed to come out with tanner arms/legs and chapped lips!

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy spending time with my little brother (like WAY little...I'm 30, he's 16!) ? He has no fear of heights, just like me...
