Dear Finn Mostyn,
Just when we thought you couldn't get any cuter... you do. You are the sweetest little boy around, and we love seeing how much you've changed this last month.
You are the happiest baby... there are moments when you're sad, of course... but for the most part, you're pretty happy... especially when your sisters are around. Boy do they know how to make you laugh. When they pretend to "hurt" themselves... like "slipping on a toy" or "tripping over a shoe"... you DIE of laughter. It's great... truly, your tummy jiggles and the squeals that come out of you are hilarious.
You're everywhere these days... crawling is something that took off this month. You don't crawl with both legs though (at least not all of the time)... most of the time, you do this leg drag... we call it the wounded soldier. You've gotten pretty fast at it. You even have a callous on your left leg from dragging it everywhere. You follow Mommy around everywhere... she can't even got potty in privacy anymore.
Your latest trick is pulling yourself up on everything. And then you look around and whine a bit, telling us to help you back down. You're totally scared of falling down on your rear. Now that you're pulling yourself up into a standing motion, you're trying to do it on your own without holding on to anything(doesn't usually end well), and you're moving your feet a little bit while you stand. We're sure you'll be walking along furniture before we even know it... you just want to keep up with your sisters.
You are an eating machine. There's really not one thing that you don't like. You pretty much house anything we put in front of you. Which is why it makes sense that you weigh nearly as much as your sister does, and are just a few inches shorter than she is. Soon you're going to tower over her... and then in a few years, you'll tower over Charlotte and Mommy too. You're one big guy.
You really love to play... and you make the sweetest noises while you play. You grunt as you play with trains/cars... you roar like a lion when you're playing with your animals... you are SUCH a boy with your noises. Also, everything continues to go in your mouth before you play with it... we thought this stage would have ended by now, but not so much.
You went into our neighborhood pool for the first time this month, and you're a natural fish. You just love the water.... just as much as your sister's love the water. We foresee a summer filled with pool days, everyday and any day. Hoping that the swimming time will exhaust you somewhat, so you'll clonk out through the night better.
You're still waking up once a night (at least) to nurse... and we just are dreaming about the days when you'll sleep the entire night. That'll probably happen once you're in your own room (very soon), you won't smell Mommy, and then it'll be easier. Or at least that's what we're telling ourselves.
You keep being the cutest little boy we know, sweet Finn. We adore you and your ways.
You are so loved, so so loved...
Daddy, Mommy, Charlotte and Marley
