Short Lived Winter

It's nearly my favorite time of the year... and I couldn't be more excited... spring is nearly here. I know, for most in the country, it is not.. but here in Oklahoma, winter is short lived, and I am MORE than "ok" with that. We have to battle things like tornadoes... so it's only fair that the warm weather hits us before it gets to others. With a move on the horizon (thank you United States Air Force)... we are growing a full spring garden in the back, and preparing the space for summer plants as well... hoping it'll entice others to buy our house when the time comes. I'm also dreaming up how to create my next garden... one that'll hopefully support my dreams of "beekeeping".

  1. Noooo! Your beautiful house!! Soak up & enjoy every last second in that pretty space. I know, it's only a house -- it's the people that make it a home. BUT, I've been dying to see a full blown house tour -- you should consider it ;) And best wishes for a flourishing & bountiful garden this year!

  2. I'm so sad you're leaving this beautiful house and garden! Such lucky people who get to move into it next. I can't believe it's another assignment for you all already, but who am I to judge? Sam already left for the next one and I'm riding out the school year, waiting to join him. Many blessings to your sweet family. Wishing the assignment fairy bestows on you a TDY- and Deployment-free assignment for the next few years!

  3. Just another reason we are meant to be friends.... I too have always dreamed of Beekeeping, and have had that exact book saved to my Amazon wishlist for 5 years, just waiting until the time is right.... ;)
